What You'll Do
  • Develop and coordinate designs for natural gas engineering projects to modernize and improve our distribution system.
  • Assess project scopes to identify local requirements and risks prior to design to ensure a complete, high quality and safe project outcome.
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create AutoCAD drawings for construction under the supervision of Professional Engineers
  • Manage external engineering design firms and ensure their designs are completed in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Review construction system operating procedures to ensure they are completed in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Analyze project scopes to identify risks and local requirements prior to construction
  • Manage multiple projects by effectively prioritizing time and tasks
  • Conduct occasional site visits to learn construction and build relationships
About You
  • ABET-Accredited B.S. Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 2+ years' experience in civil or mechanical engineering required
  • EIT Certification (or ability to obtain within one year) required
  • Proficiency with MS Excel including programming, formulas and data sheets preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design products required
  • Experience using ArcGIS software preferred
  • Valid driver's license required

Salary

$103,000 - $115,000 a year

Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company's testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
