POSITION OVERVIEW:

Provide professional support for the in-house legal department.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Participate in the planning phase of various company products, services and projects and assist in plotting a course of action which accomplishes the company's goals within legal parameters
2. Assist with the standardization of legal documents and processes, library management, office automation, information storage and retrieval, telecommunications and legal applications administration
3. Assist with special projects
4. Provide input to other members of legal department, upon request, with respect to areas of expertise
5. Provide input on risks related to financial transactions and corporate operations
6. Draft and review a wide range of corporate agreements and legal documents
7. Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, legal, information technology, analytical science, engineering, project management or related field or equivalent experience
* Five (5) years' legal experience or a Juris Doctorate
* Some financial management support experience preferred
* Technical skills including general knowledge of Legal technology programs and systems
* Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and standard applications to support a legal department
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, necessary to communicate with all levels of management
* Interpersonal skills necessary to work professionally with all levels of the organization and build collaborative working relationships
