The Medical Records Clerk II will perform a full range of duties in the Medical Records Department, including but not limited to:



  • Ensure medical records are maintained in a manner compliant with HIPAA rules and regulations to protect Patient Health Information (PHI).
  • Fulfills medical records requests related to area of subpoenas, Legal requests, disability, social security, and all other general release of medical records
  • Manages medical records workflows and advises management on backlogs where necessary
  • Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance.



Salary range: $26.42 - $37.49 hourly

Qualifications
Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with medical records processing in a licensed medical facility.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing) to obtain and communicate clear and precise information
  • Ability to e-file alphabetically and numerically
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of scanner, fax, and electronic health record technology
  • Ability to identify problems and problem-solve independently.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to use external systems to obtain medical information (i.e., CAIR, EPIC, CARECONNECT, LANES, MEDPOINT, RADIOLOGY Portals).
  • Able to respond to requests in a high-paced environment
  • Experience training others
  • Ability to travel between our Venice Family Clinic locations as needed.
Preferred: Bilingual in both Spanish and English
