Overview

In this role, you will be a key member of the Customer Platform team within the IT department, driving new capabilities in our CRM systems to support global Sales, Marketing, Service, and Field Service operations. You will lead the discovery, design, and implementation of new Salesforce solutions with a strong focus on integration and technical excellence. This includes developing and delivering proof of concepts for complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

    Define and recommend scalable, secure Salesforce architectures and design patterns that meet business and IT requirements.
  • Establish and enforce Salesforce standards, frameworks, and best practices, mentor and guide project teams.
  • Lead technical design and solutioning for Salesforce initiatives, ensuring consistency across the platform.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with Waters' design, deployment, and support standards.
  • Integrate AI capabilities to enhance automation, analytics, and customer insights.
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Monitor and optimize Salesforce platform performance and reliability.
  • Resolve complex technical and integration issues across systems.
  • Stay current with Salesforce and industry innovations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Proven expertise across Sales, Service, and Marketing Clouds, delivering enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Salesforce architecture, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and security models.
  • Skilled in designing integrations with ERP and external systems using REST/Bulk/Streaming APIs and event-driven architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git branching strategies, and deployment tools such as Copado.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, governance, and Salesforce development best practices.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to align technology with business objectives.
  • Experience working in a scaled agile environment.
  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I, Platform App Builder, and Architect) preferred.
