We are excited to announce the opening of a new production facility in Columbia, South Carolina, with operations expected to begin by the end of October. This is a unique opportunity to join our team during an exciting phase of growth and help shape the success of a brand-new site from the ground up.

With vast inventories at Manchester's 5 strategic locations: Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, South Carolina, and Texas, we maintain 14 precision sheeters, 9 guillotine trimmers, 4 carton packing lines, and 2 slitter rewinders within 450,000 combined square feet of manufacturing and warehousing space.

We offer competitive starting pay with increases after 6 months and 12 months of employment, with good performance. Shift differential for working 2nd and 3rd shifts. Benefits eligibility as of the 31st day of employment.

What you will do

The Senior Maintenance Technician serves as the head of the maintenance function for the site and is accountable for equipment reliability, preventative maintenance strategy, contractor coordination, and continuous improvement of maintenance operations. This role operates independently and is the primary technical authority for all maintenance activities at the location.

Technical Leadership & Ownership



  • Demonstrates full ownership of site maintenance operations and equipment reliability
  • Acts as the technical authority for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Applies advanced troubleshooting to diagnose complex equipment failures
  • Proactively identifies risks and opportunities to improve equipment performance and uptime
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for maintenance parts, repairs, and capital improvements
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and recommend stock levels for critical equipment
  • Review electrical drawings and support validation of new or modified equipment
  • Assemble, repair, fabricate, and modify equipment components as needed
  • Plan and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support production schedules
  • Manage and maintain the CMMS, including asset structure, PM compliance, work order accuracy, and reporting
  • Coordinate, oversee, and serve as the technical liaison for contractors and service providers
  • Define scopes of work, verify quality standards, and ensure contractor safety compliance


Safety & Environmental



  • Serves as a role model and site owner for maintenance safety standards
  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of LOTO, machine guarding, and contractor safety requirements
  • Proactively identifies hazards and leads corrective actions
  • Ensures compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements


What you will need
To be successful in this position, we are looking for candidates with the following:



  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)
  • Completion of a pre-employment assessment immediately upon application
  • 2-year degree, Journeyman status, or Technical certification
  • 5+ years of experience in a maintenance capacity
  • 2+ years continuous full-time work experience (required)
  • Able to perform and understand basic mathematical calculations and use a micrometer
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills required
  • Understanding of general operating flow and basic material handling concepts preferred
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability required
  • Mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills required
  • Able to interpret machining programs, tool layouts, encoded instructions, and blueprints as necessary to operate machines
  • Able to work in a physically demanding environment including temperature extremes, loud noise, and avoiding slipping, tripping, and falling hazards
  • Physically capable of manual labor that includes bending, walking, sitting, and climbing in and around machinery and equipment for an entire 8-hour shift
  • Able to lift, up to 40 lbs frequently, between 40 and 50 lbs occasionally, and over 50 lbs minimally. When lifting 50 lbs and above, Operator will use team lifting and overhead crane assistance
  • Work environment includes exposure to compressed air, steam, lubrication oil, dust, and hydraulic fluid
  • Able to wear and comply with all personal protective equipment (Eye and ear protection, steel-toed shoes, etc.)
  • Able to work an 8-hour shift. Able to work overtime as needed including weekends and Holidays
