About the Role
The Electrical Design Engineering Associate role is a entry level, new college grad role that will apply engineering principles to generate designs that solve complex problems. The areas of focus willinclude Display LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) design, SRU (Shop Replaceable Unit) electrical design.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role

  • Will help support concept to production Hardware including requirements analysis, electronic design, debug, test, and qualification
  • Support the Design, develop, and test Electronic Hardware products, components, and subsystems.
  • Help and create detailed circuit board specifications, ICD's, and test plans.
  • Support the Develop circuit card assembly schematics, layout guidelines, and support CCA layout
  • Be involved with and support component selection, procurement, and oversight of prototype hardware build.
  • Support concurrent engineering reviews and trade studies.
  • Develop engineering design fixes,and coordinate solutions.
  • Perform technology research, feasibility assessments, and detailed hardware design requirements definition.
  • Research and develop concepts to support advanced technology initiatives, IRADS, proposals, and demonstrators.
  • Help design, develop and execute other duties as assigned

Qualifications Sought

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Control Systems, Software, or related engineering field. (Other technical degrees will be considered with related experience.)
  • Entry Level College graduate in Engineering, 0-3 years of applicable experience
  • Advanced degree a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with any schematic capture program such as Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, PADS, etc..
  • Experienced with analog and digital circuit design including PCB design
  • (or any specific display design knowledge or experience desired.)
  • Knowledge and study of single board computers and microcontrollers
  • Knowledge and study of FPGA design and simulation required
  • Exposure to/or knowledge of VHDL design sought
  • Knowledge of analog and digital video circuits desired
  • Experience of display technologies and video distribution techniques preferred
  • Use of engineering development and test tools such as meters and scopes a must.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet or exceed deadlines, and build strong team relationships with members of the communications and strategy teams
  • Microsoft Office experience including PowerPoint,Excel, etc

Additional Information / Desired Experience

  • This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
  • This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space)
  • The candidate will need to have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to work overtime when required
  • Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position.
