Manager of Simulator Maintenance This position is responsible for the maintenance and FAA required testing for all Flight Training Devices. This includes the management of all technicians in the department. Manage simulator staffing needs, preventative maintenance program, FAA compliance, and FAA NSP requirements. Coordinate with FAA and Flight Management on FAA scheduling of NSP recertifications. Serve as S-MR to FAA for part 60 compliance. Ensure simulators design compliance, compliance with regulation changes, modifications to simulators and compliance with current configuration. Maintain simulator records and provide simulator monthly/annually utilization reports. Maintain/establish training program for simulator technicians. Scheduling of simulator staffing to maintain 24/7 coverage or the needs of training programs as well as dry/wet lease customers. Coordinate with Manager of Flight Training simulator availability, down time and required modification/update to all devices. Attend simulation trade conferences to stay abreast of new regulations, update of equipment, industry trends, and modification to training devices. Minimum Required Job Skills 6 years' Full Flight Simulator maintenance experience. Aircraft A&P license can be substituted for FFS maintenance experience. Knowledge in the following electronic/avionics systems, software development, and electrical schematics. Preferred Job Skills Required 10 years in flight simulator maintenance or equivalent experience. Strong management and communication skills. Previous management of flight simulator department. Experience with similar equipment utilized by Airborne Training Services. Education and Training Technical School, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in electronic and/or military training.
