Engineering Supervisor Provide leadership and strategic direction for Proto Engineering. This role is responsible for allocating and supervising engineering resources to support projects and programs, as well as developing processes, tooling, manufacturing instructions, and equipment that meet customer requirements and production schedules. Our Facility in Appleton, WI manufactures state-of-the-art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense as well as Industrial and Medical Industries. Standard Essential Functions
- *Lead, supervise, and guide the manufacturing engineering team, including tool design functions.
- Provide direction in manufacturing areas such as product flow, tooling, and standard work procedures.
- Contribute to manufacturability assessments and support both direct and non-recurring cost analysis.
- Represent the organization in technical information exchanges with customers, providing clear leadership and expertise.
- Oversee implementation of process-dependent manufacturing solutions.
- Build, strengthen, and advance the company's manufacturing engineering culture and infrastructure.
- Apply demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing engineering requirements for military and government programs.
- Review and recommend improvements to policies and procedures to enhance departmental performance.
- Serve as team leader for cause-and-corrective-action initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional teams including Quality, Test Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Ensure all projects and assignments comply with company practices, policies, and applicable regulations (e.g., SOX, OSHA, Management System Standards).
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external customers, setting standards that promote strong relationships.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering discipline or a technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience within the functional area assigned
- Lead, supervise, and direct the manufacturing engineering team, including tool design functions.
- Provide leadership in manufacturing areas such as product flow, tooling, and standard work procedures.
- Contribute input on manufacturability, direct costs, and non-recurring costs.
- Lead technical information exchanges with customers, ensuring accurate communication and strong technical representation.
- Oversee the implementation of process-dependent manufacturing solutions.
- Develop and advance the company's manufacturing engineering culture and infrastructure.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing engineering requirements for military and government programs.
- Review and recommend improvements to policies and procedures to optimize departmental performance.
- Serve as the team lead for cause-and-corrective-action initiatives, coordinating cross-functional involvement from Quality, Test Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Ensure projects and assignments align with company practices, policies, and regulations (e.g., SOX, OSHA, Management System Standards).
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with internal and external customers, establishing standards that support positive relationships.

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Two or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.
- Five years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
