This is a strategic Senior HR Generalist role, responsible for implementing and executing HR strategies and processes. Exceptional relationship management, influencing leadership, problem solving, talent development and a continuous improvement mindset are key. This role drives excellence for HR processes and provides feedback to Center of Excellence (CoE) departments to identify and improve HR programs. Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization's human resources, employee relations, and human resources policies, programs, and practices.


Responsibilities

The Senior HR Generalist will consult with employees and managers to address root causes of constraints and colloborate on a solution using a systematic approach, , thereby mitigating risk and supporting organization goals. Responsiveness, follow-through, and finishing are key. We are part of a larger organization with company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., compensation & salary analysis, benefits - health & wellness, workforce planning, and talent initiatives) which the Senior HR Generalist will actively participate in and help drive actions to closure.

Within an assigned client group, you are a Talent Athlete; Risk Mitigator; and Change Manager by:

  • Directing all Talent Management components to ensure the development, engagement and satisfaction of our valued workforce. Focus areas: Talent Reviews; Performance Management; Goal Setting; Career Development & Mobility; Succession and Knowledge Transfer Planning; Salary Analysis; Promotion Readiness.
  • Driving attraction and retention with front line leaders and management, up to the senior most level of leadership.
  • Partnering on top talent acquisition, pipelining for the future, and onboarding. Impacting employee and candidate, experience and excellence.
  • Fostering a positive work culture through strong two-way communications within your client group at every level. Through your personal visibility and availability, you are committed to influence productivity and retention.
  • Critical to this model is the ability to support senior management in implementing solutions by providing data-based, insightful, objective, well-informed perspectives.
  • There is a human element with being immersed in the activity of your assigned client organization so that a true connection emerges.
  • Lead continuous improvement and become a change agent across your area of responsibility, including advancing HR's operating model through bettering its own processes.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors' degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of Associate's degree and seven (7)+ years of experience.
  • Minimum five (5)+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field working strategically with leadership teams as a Human Resources Generalist/ Business Partner.

Preferred:

  • Eight (8)+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Masters' Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fully computer literate including Excel & PowerPoint at Intermediate level.
  • High degree of problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear, concise and persuasive written and oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate independently, collaborate as an effective team member, and being proactive to resolve workplace issues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments with strong customer orientation.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Salary Range: $94,000.00 - $141,000.00 annually (San Diego, CA). Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
