A full time position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Suwon Kim studying cancer biology. The successful candidate will be a well-rounded, enthusiastic individual with training in basic molecular and cell biological techniques. Experience working with rodents is preferred but not necessary. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Works under the supervision of the PI and perform day-to-day experiments of tissue culture, DNA, RNA, protein isolation/analyses, cloning DNA constructs, and mouse experiments.
- Record results in the laboratory notebooks or data folders.
- Communicate all results to the PI in a timely manner and plans for the follow-up experiments and troubleshooting.
- Participates in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, protocols, and data figures.
- Assist with the set up of standard laboratory operations.
- Organize and manage laboratory resources including research reagents and laboratory equipment.
- Facilitate the maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment.
- Assist with orientation and training of new lab personnel.
- Provides routine and technical administrative support to lab operations.
- Write and update standard lab operating procedures and protocols.
- Oversee RLSS compliance for all lab members.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner orally and in writing.
- Ability to set up and perform a variety of lab or field tests and operations.
- Experience with recording results, making observations, analyzing data, and interpreting test results.
- Research Knowledge and experience (internship, independent study).

| Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field.
- Molecular biology experience.
- Experience with rodent surgery.
