Work Schedule:

This is a full time, 40 hours/week position. Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Come develop, coordinate, and facilitate simulation-based education events for the Simulation Center.

We are seeking a Simulation Educator to:

  • Partner with clients to develop curriculum, including goals, learning objectives, case scenarios, program planning, assessment tools and other resources for clinical departments and other groups utilizing the Simulation Center.
  • Lead event and scenario planning meetings to provide best practice simulation based and event expertise consistent with capabilities and limitations of the Simulation Center Staff, equipment and facilities to meet Simulationist's needs.
  • Participate in running simulation events and scenarios as appropriate.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in education, simulation, healthcare or related discipline Required
Work Experience
  • 3 years of relevant clinical experience Required
  • 3 years Experience in patient simulation services, education, technologies and applications Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Certification as an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor or eligibility to obtain BLS Instructor certification within 2 Yrs Required
  • Certification as an American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor or eligibility to obtain ACLS Instructor certification within 2 Yrs Required
  • Provider-level certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 2 Yrs Required
  • Simulation Certification from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (CHSOS, CHSE) within 3 Yrs Preferred
