Position Summary The Business Intelligence Developer designs, develops, and maintains the systems that power enterprise reporting, analytics, and automation at Full Compass. This role combines data architecture, systems integration, and automation expertise to deliver scalable, accurate, and timely information across Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other supporting business functions. The developer also leverages emerging technologies, including AI and GenAI tools, to streamline report creation, accelerate distribution, and enhance insight generation. This position is key to advancing Full Compass's enterprise data strategy and ensuring that data remains reliable, actionable, and accessible across the organization. Essential Job Functions Data Architecture and Development
- Design and implement robust data models, integrations, and ETL processes to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Develop and maintain data warehouses, datasets, and APIs connecting ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and marketing automation systems.
- Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate within the IT team to maintain data environments in both on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
- Implement automation and monitoring to ensure reliability of data flows and scheduled refreshes.
Business Intelligence and AI-Driven Solutions
- Build, deploy, and support BI dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Integrate AI-enabled analytics capabilities such as natural-language querying, automated report generation, and GenAI-assisted data visualization.
- Use automation and AI tools to streamline the report distribution process, including scheduling, alerting, and personalized data summaries.
- Partner with business users to define requirements and deliver self-service, scalable BI and AI solutions.
- Establish data governance and metadata standards to ensure accuracy and consistency across all systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with stakeholders in Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other departments to ensure consistent, trusted data delivery.
- Support technical integrations that improve system interoperability and data accessibility.
- Contribute to the design of Full Compass's future-state enterprise data strategy, focusing on modernization, automation, and system efficiency.
- Provide documentation and training to promote the effective use of BI and AI tools across the organization.
Data Quality and Governance
- Develop and enforce standards for data hygiene, documentation, and access controls.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, ensuring alignment with source-of-truth systems.
- Partner with IT leadership to strengthen data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of data definitions, lineage, and architecture.
May be required to perform other duties and responsibilities within the scope of this role, based on business needs.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or database development.
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling, including relational and dimensional models.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Google Analytics, and Looker Studio or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience automating reports and integrating data from multiple enterprise systems.
- Experience designing and maintaining data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's degree in a related discipline.
- Experience with cloud data services such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or AWS.
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Salesforce.
- Experience using Python or R for data processing, automation, or AI-driven reporting.
- Background implementing AI or GenAI tools within analytics or workflow automation.
- Experience supporting analytics in retail, e-commerce, or distribution environments.
Qualifications
- Strong SQL development and optimization skills.
- Working knowledge of APIs, automation frameworks, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of AI-assisted BI, including generative visualization, automated insights, and anomaly detection.

Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment with minimal, if any, travel outside of the office. The employee may be required to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is required to sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; reach above shoulders; and use standard office equipment, including a computer, telephone, copier, printer, and virtual collaboration software. Salary Description
$90,000 - $105,000 Annually
