Job Category Engineering Division Intralox Job Description (General Summary) We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Engineer with strong technical writing and documentation skills to support integrated systems and equipment software projects for our largest customers. This role bridges the gap between software engineering and technical documentation by ensuring software systems, test plans, and procedures are clearly documented, accurate, and compliant with customer standards. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reading and interpreting code, working with different software systems, and translating complex technical concepts into clear, structured documentation. Job Responsibilities and Requirements Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation for Integrated systems and equipment software systems, including Software Requirements Specification, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Software Master Test Plan, Software configuration Management plans and others. Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to verify software functionality and ensure compliance with customer requirements. Collaborate with development engineers and program managers to gather and clarify technical information. Review and analyze source code and software designs to ensure documentation accurately reflects system behavior and architecture. Support software changes and compliance reviews through well-prepared documentation packages. Maintain configuration control of all technical documents and test artifacts. Provide cross-team support by identifying gaps in documentation and suggesting improvements. Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years' experience in software development Ability to read and interpret code in at least one programming language (e.g., C, C++, Java, Python). Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts. Experience working with software development lifecycle, version control systems (e.g., Git), and defect tracking tools. Preferred: Experience supporting government or defense contracts with knowledge of compliance and security standards. Familiarity with DoD or government documentation standards (e.g., MIL-STD, IEEE).
