Work Schedule: 7:00am - 3:00pm - With availability to cover shifts as needed

Full-Time position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts, Long Term Disability, and several voluntary supplemental benefit offerings. JOB SUMMARY:

The Dispatcher, Goodwheels will be a reliable Call Taker/Dispatcher to act as a communication point for transportation related calls. The incumbent will receive transportation requests, transmit messages, and track vehicles. The ideal incumbent must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in busy situations. The incumbent must be able to multi-task as well as take appropriate action with minimal supervision. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring accurate and timely transmission of information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Dispatching and Reporting:



  • As part of the Goodwheels Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) program, The Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching and scheduling rides for clients attending medical appointments, accessing community resources, or participating in other scheduled events. The position requires active review of completed transport with drivers to ensure accuracy before the end of each shift. It also involves maintaining accountability for the completeness and accuracy of driver timestamps and trip completions, as well as ensuring all data entry for the shift is accurate and complete. The role includes generating and verifying applicable reports, confirming that clients have all necessary medical forms signed by their doctors prior to scheduling trips, and faxing medical documents to physicians' offices when required. Additional administrative duties may be assigned by the Goodwheels Supervisor or Manager during the shift.


Relationship Management:



  • The Dispatcher is responsible for fostering and maintaining positive, professional relationships with customers, vendors, referral agencies, consumers, families, and Goodwill of Colorado staff, while also advising the Goodwill Manager and Supervisor, on operational matters such as workflow, customer demands, quality control issues, material shortages, and staffing needs; additionally, this role partners with internal teams to communicate changes and respond to requests that support departmental goals.

Education:



  • A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.


Experience:



  • 1 - 2 years of previous office or call center providing exceptional customer service is preferred.
  • Experience with using Trip Master, NEMT Dispatching Software, is a bonus


Other:



  • As a Dispatcher, it is crucial that the dispatch phone is always monitored. Each client who calls our phones must feel welcomed and treated with professionalism. Therefore, the incumbent must be detail orientated, be able to multi-task with excellent time management skills, have a positive attitude with excellent customer service skills, and the ability to think on your feet and discern what is in the best interest of the client and company.
  • Dispatchers will need to be able to communicate and work efficiently with many different people and personalities, including people with disabilities.
  • Relaying information in a professional and efficient manner is the primary duty of the Dispatcher. Therefore, it is important that the Dispatcher learns and understands the use of a multi-line phone system, basic administrative and computer skills, excellent communication skills, and has a pleasant and outgoing personality.
  • Self-confident and positive applicants with exceptional multitasking experience who enjoy working with the public and would like to assist in improving the efficiency of our department will excel in this position.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office (outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
