The Role

The Part time Programs Assistant will provide essential administrative, project, and operational support to the National Manager, Strategic Growth in advancing the USTA Foundation's program growth initiatives. This part-time role will play an important part in strengthening the Foundation's operational efficiency, network engagement, and overall impact as it works to improve the lives of young people from under-resourced communities through tennis, education, and mentorship.

    Support NJTL Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist the National Manager in executing new NJTL chapter recruitment and onboarding, including scheduling meetings, tracking progress, preparing materials, and maintaining updated records and databases.
  • Coordinate Market Research: Help compile and organize information on emerging and under-resourced markets, ensuring data and reports are current and readily available to inform strategic decisions.
  • Assist with Community Impact Hub (CIH) Implementation: Support the administrative and logistical needs of the multi-year CIH initiative, including scheduling partner check-ins, tracking milestones, and helping to organize performance data, reports, and related documentation.
  • Facilitate Brand and Resource Distribution: Coordinate the dissemination of approved brand assets, playbooks, and toolkits to NJTL chapters, and maintain updated inventories in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Brand Strategy & Operations.
  • Manage General Administrative Functions: Assist with expense tracking, event logistics, and other administrative tasks that ensure smooth daily operations for the Strategic Growth team.
Who You Are
  • 1-2 years of experience in sport administration, nonprofit operations, or program coordination.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working with shared drives, project management tools, and data tracking systems.
  • Approximately 25 -28 hours a week. Required to be in the office 3 days a week
  • This position is designated as "hybrid/flex" in Los Angeles and may allow remote and on-site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements, as updated occasionally.

The expected salary for this position is $20- $23 hourly rate. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
