SALARY:

$90,909 to $107,5000 per year. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

BENEFITS:

RVU offers a full benefits package that includes Health, Dental and Vision insurance, along with 2 weeks (minimum) accrued paid vacation days per year, 12 accrued sick days per year, personal days, 13 paid holidays and 401(K) match up to 7% based on employee's contribution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide career advising for students as they explore specialties, maximize their application portfolios, and assist students in creating an optimal strategy for application to the military match and/or post-graduate residency training.
  • Collaborate with Preclinical/Student Affairs Career and Professional Development Counselor to assist in the transition to clinical training.
  • Help students strategically and timely prepare audition and residency applications. This includes helping students learn residency program search and networking skills using national and regional search platforms and resources, as well as understanding timelines.
  • Work collaboratively with other administrators and faculty to incorporate military medicine content (as appropriate) in other RVU activities.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with current and former military officers who might serve as educators, mentors, and provide pathways to residency for military students.
  • Participate in RVU military medicine curriculum development, delivery, assessment, and enhancement, consistent with medical training and expertise.
  • Engage in scholarly activity, including original research, authorship, presentations at conferences, and mentorship of students in their scholarly activities.
  • Provide service to the university community and students by serving on COM and department committees, providing leadership, mentorship and expertise to students, participating in community outreach events with professional organizations or groups as assigned by the Clinical Dean.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Dean.
