Job Summary
The PLS Project Manager I is responsible for the successful execution and delivery of client projects within Pace Analytical Life Sciences. This role involves coordinating project activities, managing client communications, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget, while adhering to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client projects, facilitating communication between clients and internal teams. * Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. * Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project completion. * Coordinate internal resources, including laboratory staff, scientific experts, and support functions, to meet project deliverables. * Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to financial targets. * Prepare and present project updates, progress reports, and final deliverables to clients and internal stakeholders. * Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., cGMP, GLP, FDA) and company quality systems. * Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of project management best practices. * Resolve project-related issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner. * Support business development activities by assisting with proposals and client presentations as needed.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry) or related field. * 1-3 years of experience in project management, preferably within the contract research organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. * Strong understanding of laboratory operations and analytical testing methodologies. * Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively. * Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Familiarity with GxP regulations (e.g., cGMP, GLP) is a plus. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
