Job Summary:

The Manager of Manufacturing Finance and Accounting is a key member of the Finance department that directly supports Supernus's corporate accounting and manufacturing functions. This role is responsible for the full cycle manufacturing accounting process, including analyzing, and reconciling all production and inventory transactions related to external Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and the company's overall supply chain network. This role actively collaborates with both Supernus Finance, Supply Chain, and Quality departments to transact production batches, troubleshoot, and investigate.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Works closely with the Company's external CMOs, Supply Chain, Quality, Accounting, and Finance departments to appropriately manage the full cycle of inventory transactional processing and movements within the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning system).
  • Reconciles inventory activity monthly and agrees the general ledger to the subledger(s) and relevant CMO Source Reports.
  • Analyzes CMO reports to identify production and inventory movement activity.
  • Works closely with Supply Chain and Quality Departments to identify and manage expired, failed, and obsolete inventory to ensure that they accounted for timely and accurately.
  • Manages Cost of Goods and Sold Cost of Goods Sold to ensure appropriate matching principles are applied accurately based upon inventory movements.
  • Drives enhancements to management reporting, including commentary with timely insights to operational results.
  • Monitors, manages, and updates the Company's standard costs as needed.
  • Prepares schedules in support of internal and external auditor requests.
  • Establishes and updates training documentation.
  • Trains staff to perform transaction level activities for manufacturing activities within the ERP.
  • Manages, tracks, and records monthly production and inventory transactions.
  • Determines vouchered and unvouchered liabilities, assisting with the general ledger close, as well as strategic vendor relationships.
  • Performs cost variance analyses on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports detailing operational results.
  • Responsible for the management of each Manufacturing Departments' operational expenses, budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare schedules in support of internal and external auditor requests.
  • Comply with and meet all financial close deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance with SOX requirements as well as US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Company policies.
  • Other ad-hoc research, data analysis, department financial planning as defined by Management.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

  • Provides leadership and management in an effective manner consistent with Company Values towards defined Corporate Objectives.
  • Understands Company Policy and procedure to be able to guide direct reports appropriately.


Knowledge & Other Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred and a minimum of five years of relevant experience is required, experience in public accounting is a plus. Public company and SOX 404 experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) and a demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity - must be able to represent and model integrity within the organization. Must possess and maintain the highest degree of security and confidentiality of information.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:



  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen, iPad, or other electronic device; and extensive reading.
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Limited travel.


Compensation:

At Supernus, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your experiences and contributions. The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $100,000 to $125,000. This range is what the Company reasonably expects to offer for the position and is not reflective of the full compensation scale of the role. This range may be modified in the future. An individual's salary within the range is based on multiple factors, which may include and are not limited to education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience and organizational needs.

Base salary is one part of the overall compensation package, which includes the opportunity to participate in employee stock purchase programs and performance-based bonus programs.
