Moog's Corporate Group IT Team is seeking a Project Management Manager!

In this role, you will provide critical leadership in establishing and maintaining a structured, consistent, and integrated approach to project management across Corporate IT, as well as operating group IT, providing expertise across the discipline and initiatives. You will ensure the adoption of standardized project management practices and provide expert guidance to senior leadership and stakeholders on execution methods and their strategic benefits.

You will work a hybrid schedule at our facility located in East Aurora, NY.

To qualify for the IT Project Management Manager, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog...

  • Bachelor's Degree (vocational or professional) in Information Systems, Business Management, or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience (usually post-education) in project or program management within Information Technology and/or business transformation.
  • Over three (3) years' experience in a people-leader role, with a proven track record of motivating teams and developing people.
  • PMP, or other project management certification, is preferred.
  • Proven general capabilities in initiating action, adaptability, building strategic working relationships, decision making, stress tolerance, communication, and planning & organizing.
  • Competent and experienced in applying the concepts and tools of the project management discipline.
  • Understanding of OCM principles and experience in integrating PM & OCM methodologies.
  • Organized, disciplined, and methodical in approach to assignments, tasks and overall work.
  • Able to assess project competency, coach to a standard set of frameworks and practices and create and monitor individual development plans.
  • Possess the confidence and competence to coach teams to customize, modify and adapt process and tools to meet the unique requirements of specific initiatives without compromising the intent and/or violating the standards.
  • Excellent written, oral and media-based communication skills.
  • Demonstrated competence communicating with executive/senior leaders as well as staff.
  • Strong focus on collaboration and team orientation.

As the IT Project Management Manager you will have the following responsibilities...

Project Governance & Standards

  • Develop and enforce a common project management framework and governance model across IT, integrating with OCM, ITSM, portfolio management, vendor management, architecture and other relevant standards and disciplines.
  • Ensure alignment of project methodologies with organizational strategy and business outcomes.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and develop a team of 6-10 project managers, assigning resources based on project scope and complexity.
  • Engage and manage contract resources as needed to cover PM capacity gaps as demand dictates.
  • Monitor performance and foster continuous improvement through coaching and development plans.

Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate with senior and executive leadership to align project execution with strategic priorities.
  • Provide expert consultation on project planning, execution, and risk mitigation.

Community & Capability Building

  • Establish and manage a Project Management Community of Practice.
  • Maintain a centralized Resource Center with tools, templates, and educational materials.

Delivery Excellence

  • Oversee project planning and execution, ensuring integration of milestones, tasks, resources, risks, and dependencies.
  • Prioritize delivery of complex, high-value projects and optimize resource allocation across initiatives.

Performance & Reporting

  • Develop and manage reporting processes to track delivery performance and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead efforts in continuous improvement through analysis of project outcomes and team competencies.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $135,000.00-$160,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
