Job Purpose

The Brand PR & Experiential Marketing Analyst supports Barilla's business priorities by driving brand storytelling in earned media and delivering on key experiential touchpoints with media, creators, and consumers. This role builds relevancy for the brand and ensures consistent and premium brand experiences.

This is a hybrid role based out of Northbrook, IL.



Key Accountabilities

Earned Media:
* Support day-to-day strategic, integrated consumer PR programming across Bakery, Pasta and Condiments that generates key narratives, creating an always-on approach to communication and coverage
* Steward cross functional integration with a variety of disciplines such as Brand, Media, Digital, R+D, and Shopper Marketing to ensure strategic linkage across a variety of communications initiatives, finding potential synergies and opportunities for integration and amplification
* Support influencer marketing as necessary, coordinating with PR agency and internal team to ensure flawless execution and an exceptional influencer experience
* Identify critical press relationships across targeted business, trade, local and consumer publications
* Storyline for unique pitch angles and agile opportunities to build credibility and relevance for the brand
* Manage PR agency for expanded support across proactive storytelling
* Stay informed on overarching business, culinary & R+D and marketing initiatives and advise on key opportunities for the organization that will create compelling storytelling
* Work across the marketing team and cross-functionally to ensure all internal and external messaging are brand appropriate and mitigate any risk of negative coverage
* Develop KPIs, establish and track results driving accountable growth in exposure

Experiential Marketing:
* Lead priority experiential moments for the brand including Natural Products Expo West and key Formula 1 races delivering best in class brand experiences
* Support media and influencer focused events and in-person experiences
* Responsible for all facets of event planning from partner / vendor procurement to SOW development to design/look/feel, catering needs and onsite execution
* Manage agency partners throughout planning and execution - including training brand ambassadors when needed
* Work closely with internal culinary team on recipe development/testing and key catering needs
* Work with legal and procurement on all contracting needs
* Develop KPIs and report on results and learnings
* Must have strong project and time management skills given the need to support multiple projects at a time
* Onsite staffing for key events required
* Other duties as assigned



Desired Skills and Background

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, or related field
* 2+ years of experience leading large-scale events (serving 25,000+) to mid-scale events (serving 5,000 - 20,000) and small-scale events (<5,000).
* Public Relations experience preferred
* Proficient understanding of health codes with regard to food preparation & service, specifically in California
* Astute ability to assess risk and design contingency efforts
* Highly proven problem-solving skills with solid business judgment
* Exceptional regard for high-quality standards, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
* Proven negotiations skills
* Ability to keep agencies tightly to task, prioritize, multi-task, manage multiple/simultaneous workstreams
* Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications skills, both online and offline.
* Strong ability to work in teams and build good working relationships, but also work independently
* Ability to navigate ambiguous situations
* Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience; passion for food
* Proficient MS Office (Microsoft Word; Advanced experience using Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Ability to travel up to 30-40%

As of the date of this posting, the estimated pay range for this role is $75k-$85k plus eligibility to participate in the annual discretionary bonus plan. The actual pay for the position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, skills, education, location, and internal equity. This range may be subject to change over time.
