DEPARTMENT: Commercial Lending - Real Estate LOCATION: Fresno, CA
Job Summary and Scope of Responsibility: Originate and close wholesale residential mortgage loans for our existing client base as well as new prospects. Participate in related business development activities that address the interests of realtors, builders, home buyers and the community.

- Coordinate overall customer interface and interaction between all parties involved in the residential mortgage loan origination and closing process.
- Solicit, originate and close wholesale residential mortgage loans through approved wholesale lenders.
- Counsel and pre-qualify potential residential loan customers.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of loans with loan applicants.
- Accept and ensure completeness and accuracy of loan applications, and obtain necessary support documents, appropriate fee and lock-in information.
- Order and review appraisals in accordance with guidelines. Prepare and deliver/mail required disclosures.
- Monitor loan processing status and ensure conformity with terms of both internal policy (where applicable) and the policies of the wholesale lenders.
- Recommend and participate in the development and implementation of appropriate marketing strategies. Collaborate with other sales officers to prioritize and develop a banking relationship with targeted prospects.
- Maintain knowledge of current residential mortgage loan programs, rules and regulations, underwriting guidelines and trends and ensure all activities are in compliance. Make recommendations for updated information on the website and/or marketing materials.
- Work with Banking Center Managers to offer educational programs/activities regarding home ownership, first time home buying, etc.
Minimum Qualifications to Perform Essential Functions: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of and ability to apply underwriting qualifiers and regulatory compliance requirements within established parameters.
- Knowledge of residential mortgage loan programs, origination and closing processes.
- Strong sales skills, with emphasis on interviewing, negotiation and closing.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret consumer financial and legal documents.
- Effective supervisory skills.
- Demonstration of effective consumer loan processing skills.
- Strong organizational and task management skills.
- Effective math skills, including percentages, commissions, interest and ratios.
- Professional demeanor, speaking and presentation skills.

- Ability to qualify for and maintain required licenses, certifications and registrations, as applicable.
- Ability to perform essential job functions independently, under minimal supervision.

Experience and/or Education:
- Two years of experience as a residential mortgage loan originator.
- Knowledge of Calyx Point mortgage software system, preferred.
- Current registration as a "mortgage loan originator" with the "NMLS", preferred.
Travel/Physical Demands:
- Ability to travel to client and business event locations (driving requires continuous possession of a valid driver's license and the minimum level of auto insurance).
Excellent benefits package for eligible employees and their families. Competitive salary BOE in the range of $68,640 - $74,000 Annually.
