The Supervisor is responsible for the competency, scheduling, coaching and motivation, engagement, and performance evaluation of the work group staff members. The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary health record and coding practices and requirements. The Supervisor is responsible for staying abreast of regulatory requirements, as well as advancements in health information and coding software. The Supervisor actively applies continuous improvement principles in daily activities and actively engages the work group in improvements which result in high performance, low cost, and low waste.
