Job Description

The Applied Catalysis and Sustainability Laboratory in the Linda and Bipin Doshi Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology is seeking a passionate and dedicated researcher to join our team.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong interest in research to conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and contribute to manuscript drafts related to catalysis.

Key Responsibilities:
The visiting scholar will design, develop, and conduct experiments on Heterogeneous catalysts, Zeolites, Carbon Capture, Green Sorbent Design, Curcumin Derivatives, Flow Reactors, and Transport Phenomena, as well as pyrolysis, gasification, biomass conversion, and hydrothermal liquefaction.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in Engineering, or a closely related field.
Strong interest in catalysis, zeolite synthesis, biomass valorization, simulation and modelling, laboratory-based research, and a desire to expand scientific expertise through mentorship and
collaboration.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Prior experience with catalysis, zeolites, laboratory techniques, and data analysis
Passion for research and a keen interest in advancing scientific knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to draft research manuscripts with clear and precise writing.
Enthusiasm for working independently and collaboratively in a laboratory environment.
Some Experience with research methodologies and data analysis is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to follow research protocols, mentor graduate students, and contribute to a collaborative lab environment.
