Shift's Available: Nights - (17% to 22% differential in pay)

Employment Type: Full Time Nights

Hours: 12hr options 7pm to 7am

Location: St Joseph Medical Center - Kansas City, MO

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but are not limited to):

  • Provide comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry and ECG rhythms; respond to arrhythmias promptly.
  • Administer cardiac medications, IV drips, and titrate vasoactive agents.
  • Assist with procedures such as cardiac catheterization, pacemaker insertion, and stress testing.
  • Perform rapid response and ACLS interventions during cardiac emergencies.
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery plans, and lifestyle changes.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards.


Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • Current and valid state RN license.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintained.
  • Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
  • Ventilator management experience preferred.
  • Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
