Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee and manage high-impact, cross-functional strategic projects across the firm, with a primary focus on supporting Legal Operations initiatives. This role will collaborate with teams across the firm, ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, and maintain a high level of communication and coordination with stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will bring strong project management principles, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex business environments with discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, execute, and deliver large-scale, cross-functional projects focused on firm-wide strategic initiatives, with a primary emphasis on Legal Operations priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Practice Group Leaders, IT, HR, Finance, Marketing & Business Development, and Legal Operations to ensure effective project execution and alignment with firm goals.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, resources, and budget to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Analyze and assess existing business processes and workflows; identify opportunities for operational improvements, process mapping, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate and document project meetings, maintain project plans, and provide regular status updates to senior leadership.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate post-project evaluations; contribute to process improvements for future initiatives.
  • Support leadership in assessing operational and financial impacts of strategic initiatives and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Assist in change management and integration efforts for operational transformations or new technology implementations including initiatives involving AI tools or automation.
  • Develop and deliver Legal Project Management (LPM) training and education to legal teams, focusing on best practices, efficiency, resource management, and client service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven project management experience, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment.
  • Experience managing complex, high-profile projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex information clearly to senior leadership.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies, including Agile or Waterfall, and tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, HighQ, or equivalent.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with discretion on confidential and sensitive matters.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or similar approaches to create enhanced processes and efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Flexible, dedicated teammate with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovative problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; professional presence and tact.
  • High energy, initiative, and drive to assist with projects and needs beyond the written duties.
  • Thinks strategically and anticipates downstream impacts, planning multiple steps ahead to ensure successful outcomes.

The salary range for this position varies by geographical market. In Minneapolis, the estimated starting annual pay range is $100,000 - $135,000/year. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
