Pay Range: $49,250 - $70,000 (annually)

Salary Grade: T26

Position Summary
The Assistant Director for Student Success (ADSS) in the School of Pharmacy focuses on helping students thrive in the pharmacy curriculum. A primary responsibility will be expanding and overseeing the Peer Tutoring program. The incumbent recruits, hires, develops, and supervises a group of approximately 20 Pharm.D. students who serve as peer tutors. The incumbent also oversees daily operations for the program, making tutoring schedules, establishing policies and procedures, and designing instructional materials. The ADSS collaborates with the Senior Vice Dean, Director of Student Services, Assistant Dean for Admissions, Assistant Director for Undergraduate Studies, and the Assistant Director for Graduate Studies, appropriate course faculty, and other staff members to identify unmet needs and to explore possible ways of addressing them.

The ADSS consults with faculty in a variety of disciplines, administrators at the Health Science Center Professional schools, serves on a variety of committees and project teams, and contributes to efforts to improve student experience and student success at the School of Pharmacy. The ADSS also participates in professional associations broadly linked to supplemental instruction by attending conferences, presenting original research, and engaging in professional service roles

A focus will be placed on student continued professional development during their time at TUSP. Tracking and analysis of student outcome measures via a variety of measures, specifically retention, progression, graduation, and licensure rates will aid in the development of programs to improve outcome measures.

Required Education and Experience
A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a related field and at least five (5) years of related experience working in student services and/or academic advising within a higher education setting.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

*Experience working with diverse populations.

*Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently.

*Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

*Effectively utilizes standard office software applications and hardware in the performance of duties.

*Principles of business English, punctuation, spelling, and grammatical usage

*Principles of recordkeeping.

Preferred
Master's Degree in a related field

This position will be on-site.
