Job Description
System Administrator (Specialist or Expert Level Hire) TritonCard Application System Administrator This is a professional Information Technologies position responsible for providing senior level support to all TritonCard operations including application administration, door access, and card production. Collaborate on dining POS. Technical support to internal and/or external constituents. Assist in planning and implementation of new services, including system upgrades. Stay current with emerging trends.
- Monitor the performance of the applications supported and ensure all services are performing properly. Troubleshoot issues with hardware or the applications as they occur. Determine and initiate appropriate and immediate actions needed to restore normal services with minimal down time. Document occurrence and actions taken.
- Assign door access permissions as requested by departments. Automate this process when appropriate.
- Generate reports to ensure proper functioning of the databases, to ensure data feeds between data sources and applications are working as expected. Work with IT system administrators, or vendor support personnel to address issues that arise.
- Assist in the coordination and installation of new door access, POS, and card production hardware. Train staff on its use. Replace defective hardware when necessary.
- Setup AccessIT User accounts and train for specific building designee use.
- Write SQL queries to automate functions within the AccessIT system.
ITSM Team Dynamix (ITS Incident Tracking System)
- Provide basic administrative functions.
- Develop and update specific forms, widgets, and dashboards.
- Act as liaison with Columbia developers as it relates to UMSL project requests.
- Team member of the TDX team of 3 and making team decisions.
- Meet the needs for ITS and their needs for TDX.
- Understanding inventory and assets is vital.

Shift
7:30am-4:00pm Monday thru Friday. Evening, weekend and call-in work may be required to meet deadlines and correct system failures.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2+ years work experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of or proven capability to quickly learn programming language(s), operating systems, direct access techniques, remote processing and virtual systems to be utilized/supported within the hiring operating unit.
- Knowledge of the theory, principles and practices of Operating systems, networking and applications and their interoperability and the supporting infrastructure.
- Knowledge of computer security procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to research, quickly identify and correct problems (debug) using system utilities / diagnostics.
- Familiarity with systems analysis procedures and techniques.
- Evening, weekend and call-in work may be required to meet deadlines and correct system failures.
- Certification of skills required for all System Administrator titles.
- Ability to work under pressure; meet inflexible deadlines; deal with difficult individuals while maintaining composure.
- Prior experience contracting and managing outside vendors
- Previous administrator level experience analyzing, documenting, installing, and maintaining operating systems and servers
- Experience in physical access control system administration
- Established history of designing and leading group and individual training
- History of excellent customer service skills
Anticipated Hiring Range
This position will be hired at one of the following levels based on experience: Specialist or Expert. Salary Range: $52,915.20 - $84,968.00 annually based on candidate's qualifications. Grade: GGS- 10/11 based on level of experience.
