The Lead - Event Security role is responsible for overseeing event security operations at assigned gates or stadium levels to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all guests, staff, and players. The Lead - Event Security staff serve as team leads, providing direction, support, and coordination for Event Security personnel.

Lead the pre-game meeting prior to gate openings to provide game related information and go over training topics provided by management
- Assign Event Security staff to designated gates, seating areas, and concourses based on operational needs
- Schedule and monitor Event Security staff breaks to make sure all staff receives a break and takes appropriate time
- Present a visible display of authority to prevent fan misconduct before, during and after events
- Assume positions in all levels of the seating bowl and concourse areas to observe and identify problems, fans issues and prevent incidents from escalating
- Maintain a visible presence to deter misconduct and support guest safety during games and events
- Coordinate with ticket takers to complete bag checks as fans enter the ballpark
- Assume positions in the player parking lot before, during and after games to ensure the safety of the players and umpires. Check for proper field access credentials for members of the media and all others on the field.
- Diffuse, mediate and control fan disputes in a timely fashion with minimal disruption of the fan's baseball experience
- Responsible for precise and accurate information relayed to medical staff, Wilson Police Department concerning altercations and/or medical issues
- Work with the Wilson Police Department to assure the safety of all guests and prevent problems in high fan traffic areas, refer all criminal/ordinance violations to the Wilson Police Department for investigation and disposition
- Observe and report instances of excessive alcohol consumption or underage drinking
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Law Enforcement or extensive training and experience in Law Enforcement and Security procedures.
- Experience and/or background in public safety and experience with crowd control while dealing with large amounts of guests is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on professionalism
- Ability to lead and train staff while also delegating tasks
- Previous management experience in security, event operations, or customer service preferred
- Attentive to safety procedures and capable of responding appropriately to guest needs or incidents
- Valid Driver's license and Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club (MBBC) satisfactory driving record required
Education and/or Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of supervisor/lead experience preferred.
Work Hours
Hours vary according to the game and event schedule, which will include weekends and some holidays.
