Responsibilities

The Senior Workspace Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining physical and digital workspaces that optimize productivity, collaboration, and employee experience. The ideal candidate has experience with modern digital workplace tools, office network infrastructure, and end-user computing. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong technical foundation, a vision for the future of workplace technology, and experience mentoring junior engineers. You will play a key role in ensuring secure, efficient, and seamless work experiences for our workforce. Design, configure, and maintain user workspace environments (including endpoint devices, collaboration tools, and workplace technology systems).

    Manage deployment, patching, and upgrades of endpoint hardware and software
  • Integrate and support productivity and collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365, WebEx, Teams, etc.)
  • Monitor workspace performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements
  • Maintain documentation for configuration, processes, and user guides
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for workspace-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols, data privacy regulations, and audit requirements
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance the workplace experience
  • Provide technical guidance and advanced training; may lead or direct staff
  • Ensure practice of department security standards and provide excellent customer service


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or relevant work experience required
  • 7+ years of experience in workspace engineering, systems administration, or end-user computing at an enterprise scale. working in the desktop support field
  • Experience working with ServiceNow ticketing and event management
  • Experience with Active Directory to manage and maintain user accounts and group policies
  • Expertise with endpoint management tools (Microsoft Intune and Configuration Manager, Control Up, Ivanti Neurons)
  • Scripting and automation skills (Microsoft PowerShell, Power Automate, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of collaboration platforms, unified communications, and AV hardware/software integration
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), VPNs, and remote access solutions
  • Familiarity with project management principles and change control
  • Professional certifications such as HDI, CompTIA, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, or Certified System Administrator, or Modern Desktop Administrator
