The Senior Project Manager, IT will be responsible for driving in cross-functional, strategic technology initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a highly matrixed environment, providing structure and accountability to keep teams focused on achieving agreed project objectives on schedule and budget.
The Senior Project Manager, IT must be adept at leading Agile projects while acting as a liaison between business teams and technology solutions. This role requires someone with a product-based mindset with proven experience managing complex technology projects.
Responsibilities
    • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span multiple lines of business, including infrastructure, ERP, application development, integrations, product selection and implementation, upgrades and deployments and operational efficiency improvements.
    • Partner with business stakeholders to develop strategic software product roadmaps and provide project oversight working with internal and external resources to achieve targeted business outcomes.
    • Bring clarity and alignment to project objectives, plans, and deliverables to minimize conflicts and ensure shared understanding across stakeholders.
    • Be comfortable and capable of managing projects and products that are iterative and have evolving needs.
    • Leverage technical depth and proficiency in Software Development Lifecycle to contribute, perform logical analysis, and drive innovation, effective project solutions.
    • Exhibit strong ownership of your projects, holding others accountable with respect and professionalism, while also pushing them to deliver on their commitments.
    • Proactively identify, track and communicate risks, changes, opportunities, implications, and options, offering sound judgement and recommendations for mitigating program impacting events.
    • Be comfortable and capable of producing articulate and proficient written documentation, including status reports, correspondence, presentations, illustrations, and reference materials.
    • Develop and deliver communication strategies that convey status, end state, and ensure stakeholder expectations are set appropriately.
    • Manage cross-functional delivery teams which may be comprised of internal and/or external resources as well as business subject matter experts.
    • Function as a mentor for PMO team members by guiding and ensure all PMO-managed projects are aligned with best practices and adhere to internal expectations.
    • Suggest and deploy positive changes to an existing project management system to better align with PMO expectations and lead these coordinating efforts with the PMO team.
    • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
Experience & Requirements
    • At least 8 years of relevant project management experience in an enterprise, multi-site environment.
    • Knowledge of enterprise platforms and architectures.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Agile and tooling such as JIRA.
    • Experience and understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and the necessary components of an MVP release.
    • Scrum Master certification and proven experience leading Agile ceremonies, working with product owners to prioritize requirements
    • Business analysis experience able to effectively gather technical requirements
    • Excellent communicator and team player with strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills.
    • Self-motivated, adaptable, and thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while meeting tight deadlines.
    • Proven problem-solver with a focus on delivering high-quality, high-velocity results and working effectively with all levels, including C-suite executives.
    • Background Check Required.
$128,000 - $150,000 a year
