Position Overview:

The Senior Director of Finance Platforms will lead the strategy, governance, and delivery of enterprise finance technology platforms, ensuring they enable efficient, scalable, and compliant financial operations. This role requires deep expertise in finance systems such as Kyriba (Treasury Management), Ariba (Procurement), Esker (AP Automation), and experience driving Finance Transformation initiatives across global organizations. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical platform knowledge with leadership skills to align technology solutions with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Ownership & Strategy

  • Define and execute the roadmap for finance platforms including Kyriba, Ariba, Esker, and related systems.

  • Ensure platforms support global finance and accounting processes, compliance, and scalability.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to optimize financial operations.

Finance Transformation Leadership

  • Drive end-to-end transformation initiatives to modernize finance processes and systems.

  • Partner with Finance leadership to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and cost optimization.

  • Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new tools and processes.

Governance & Risk Management

  • Establish governance frameworks for platform usage, data integrity, and security compliance.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls across all finance systems.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, Procurement, and external vendors.

  • Align platform capabilities with business needs through continuous engagement with stakeholders.

  • Communicate platform strategy and progress to executive leadership.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of product owners, analysts, and technical specialists.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement & Performance Monitoring

  • Define KPIs and success metrics for platform performance and transformation initiatives.

  • Monitor system performance and user experience, implementing enhancements as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 10 or more years of experience in finance technology leadership roles, with proven platform ownership experience.

  • 5 or more years as a Subject Matter Expert in Kyriba, Ariba, Esker, and other finance systems (SAP, DataBricks and visualization tools) - required

  • Demonstrated success in leading finance transformation initiatives in a global organization.

  • Strong understanding of financial processes including treasury, procurement, AP automation, and accounting.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud-based finance platforms and integration strategies.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and digital transformation best practices.

  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.

  • Experience with AI, M/L and EPM data models

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well both independently as well as within a team oriented environment

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
