In the role of Intern Environmental, we'll count on you to:

  • Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • Work on diverse remedial engineering projects that will range from general field support during investigation/construction and soil/groundwater/air sampling to technical work that requires strong communication skills
  • Have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Assist junior engineers in environmental remediation projects involving feasibility studies, pre-design investigation, remedial design, remedial action, and post construction activities.
  • Complete project subtasks that have clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
  • Interpret data (chemical analyses and historical investigation data) and summarize it in tables, charts, and maps.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2.5 years completed toward a degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study/industry
  • Preference is given to local candidates
  • Strong commitment to safety, including following health and safety protocols
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding sampling tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures).
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology, environmental Engineering or related program
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
