This position follows a hybrid schedule with Three in-office days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead specialty product sales efforts to achieve health plan market goals and maintain profitability
  • Maintain deep knowledge of employer-paid and voluntary specialty products
  • Cultivate solid relationships with General Agents, brokers, consultants, and clients; serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on specialty products
  • Create and implement strategies for General Agents, top-producing consultants, and brokers to grow specialty book of business
  • Work closely with Account Executives (AE), Account Consultants (AC), Strategic Account Executives (SAE) and Sales leadership to support sales education, training, and joint external calls
  • Partner with internal matrix partners to deliver competitive proposals; assist in proposal development and competitive positioning
  • Deliver presentations and in-market meetings showcasing specialty product capabilities and value propositions
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings; develop strategies to differentiate UnitedHealthcare's specialty portfolio

Required Qualifications:

  • Sales insurance license(s) as required by state law in residential and non-residential states within assigned territory, or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Results-oriented with a track record of closing sales and driving growth
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with specialty products
  • Demonstrated ability to understand underwriting, financial, and analytical details as necessary for proposal development
  • Willingness to travel as needed; valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid presentation skills and ability to deliver compelling presentations
  • Solid communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $60,000 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
