Responsibilities
Job info The Senior Product Engineer (IGT) will serve as the strategic and operational leader of the engineering function within our IGT core manufacturing product line. This role oversees multiple engineering disciplines-including Process Engineering, Advanced Technology, Product Engineering, and other specialized engineering teams assuring alignment with business objectives, operational excellence, and innovation in IGT manufacturing. The Senior Engineer reports directly to the Plant Manager for IGT and plays a critical role in driving technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement across the plant. Leadership & Management
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to all engineers (Process, Advanced Technology, Product, Facilities, and others).
- Develop and mentor engineering leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth.
- Aligning engineering priorities with plant and corporate objectives, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee process engineering to ensure manufacturing efficiency, yield improvement, and defect reduction.
- Drive product engineering initiatives to support new product introduction, design for manufacturability, and customer requirements.
- Ensure facilities engineering maintains plant infrastructure, utilities, and equipment reliability to support production demands.
- Champion advanced technology projects, including automation, digitalization, and new material/process development.
Strategic Planning & Innovation
- Lead long-term technology roadmaps for ceramic core manufacturing, ensuring competitiveness in aerospace markets.
- Collaborate with R&D and corporate engineering teams to integrate advanced materials, processes, and equipment.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and implement scalable solutions to enhance productivity and product performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and EH&S teams to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support customer and supplier technical engagements, providing engineering expertise and leadership.
- Facilitate communication between engineering teams and executive leadership, translating technical insights into business impact.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies across engineering functions.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP) and internal quality systems.
- Drive sustainability initiatives in energy usage, waste reduction, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering discipline
- 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of ceramic core manufacturing processes, materials science, and aerospace industry requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
