Job Summary Under general direction of Medical Director for University Health Services and under the supervision of one or more physicians provides health care, including acute episodic illness and/or injury, chronic disease management, and health maintenance, for patients of the University Health Service (UHS). Evaluates and treats common acute injuries and illness using guidelines and physician consultation by phone when necessary. Triages and refers to physicians any patients that require further evaluation. Provides these services for UHS patients and campus visitors. With general supervision functions independently within the scope of departmental and institutional policies and procedures; refers exceptions to Medical Director for University Health Services.
