JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS This is a part-time position funded for approximately 10-12 hours per month. The position includes gathering and providing all required program paperwork and documentation to the Upward Bound Programs full-time staff member working with UB and UB Math & Science (UBMS) students who attend Reading High School. Upward Bound Programs is a federally funded program through the U.S. Department of Education. Penn State University currently has been awarded five UB/UBMS grants. Additional requirements include that the School Success Coordinator must be a current person working within the Reading School District. BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
