Position Description.

Coordinate readiness activities between the CONTRACTOR and the National Weapons Laboratory (NWL) Organizations such as Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), Sandia National Laboratories (SNL), and government agencies such as the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). * Follow applicable Department of Energy (DOE) Orders such as DOE O 425.1D and Standards DOE-STD-3026-2010 for Readiness as well as follow CONTRACTOR'S company directives. * Conduct a Readiness Scoping Meeting with knowledge of Core Requirements (CR), Safety Management Programs (SMP), and Functional Areas (FA). * Develop a Readiness Plan of Action (POA). * Define and develop Readiness Prerequisites to support the startup or restart Readiness activity into a state of operational readiness. * Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills to coordinate and communicate the Readiness Process, Activities and Functions to participating personnel. * Ensure the processes, execution, and deliverables of the assessments adhere to internal requirements outlined in the CONTRACTOR'S organization Readiness Review Process. * Develop Readiness Startup Plan that describes the process of deliberate, controlled operations to start nuclear operations for CONTRACTOR'S use after authorization.

Lead, coordinate, prepare, and execute an independent Contractor Readiness Assessment (CRA) / Management Self-Assessment (MSA) in nuclear readiness, and interface with CONTRACTOR'S management personnel. * Have experience in leading CRA / MSA and have technical knowledge of the activities and functional areas being reviewed. * Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills, including seniority in relation to the CRA/MSA team members. * Ensure the processes, execution, and deliverables of the assessments adhere to internal requirements outlined in the CONTRACTOR Readiness Review Process. * Interface with management personnel to develop and enforce standards and assign performance schedules for reviews.

Support and execute an independent CRA/ MSA in nuclear readiness, and interface with contractor management personnel with the ability to follow applicable Department of Energy (DOE) Orders such as DOE O 425.1D and Standards DOE-STD-3026-2010 for Readiness as well as follow CONTRACTOR'S company directives. * Provide CRA/MSA subject matter expertise with assessment experience and knowledge of the activities and functional areas being reviewed. Ensure the processes, execution, and deliverables of the assessments are adhered to while conducting a review per criteria and performance objectives outlined in CONTRACTOR'S Readiness Review Plan. * Assist CRA/MSA Team Lead in preparing final CRA/MSA final report.
