Job Description: Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a X-Plant Supply Chain Officer to join our X-Plant department based in Mobile, AL. Ensure the end to end management of materials, parts and tools needed to complete plant and supplier outstanding work at FAL-Mobile. Communicate, manage and plan with stakeholders along the supply chain, logistics and transportation process, to ensure material delivery meets aircraft planning and milestones. Manage X-Plant hospital stock and materials at FAL-Mobile- ensure correct stock levels & relevance of material is maintained, current and accurately reflected in SAP systems to meet needs of the business. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Manage, oversee and secure an orderly & on-time flow of material, parts and tools needed for X-Plant activities- manage the demand placed by / with plants and suppliers - From plants and suppliers through to X-Plant Operations Teams. Actively contribute to X-Plant and wider FAL planning by actively communicating/documenting material ordering and logistics status' and secure visibility of material progress along each process step. Manage stakeholders and work closely with support functions, procurement, HUB's, Plants/Suppliers at various levels including senior leadership. Participate in and lead projects that enable/support improvements in the X-Plant supply chain end to end process. Work as an integral part of the X-Plant MFT, actively participate and contribute to department routines as required. Liaise and work with procurement and logistics focal points based in FAL-Mobile and in Europe at various levels including senior leadership. Determine, update and manage X-Plant department material management Key Performance Indicators to drive visibility along the supply chain and secure planning. Actively identify and support/facilitate resolution of blocking points along the supply chain and logistics process to secure aircraft milestones and delivery. Maintain and improve process flow maps for each supplier and plant workflow- use already defined as-is maps to identify them, implement improvements and harmonization opportunities. Manage and maintain X-Plant hospital stock levels to ensure they are current, valid, applicable and fit for current needs. Create, manage and maintain X-Plant cannibalization and re-allocation plans and ensure planning is communicated with the Operations teams. Manage parts ordering for plants. Other duties as assigned.

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: 0-2 years of relevant work experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably with an aviation company. Preferred:

Proficiency in other languages is recommended but not essential. Knowledge of Airbus processes and methods. Google Suite (Google Mail, Docs, and Sheets). Airbus IT-Tools (AIRINA, TAKSY, ECM, eQLB, ALB). Knowledge of common applications such as SAP. Operational decisions that drive the critical aircraft non-conformities forward to a timAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external customers. Physical Requirements:
Onsite or remote: Onsite 100% of the time. Vision: Able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings on a daily basis. Hearing: Able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms on a daily basis. Speaking: Able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications on a daily basis. Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts on a daily basis. Carrying: Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs on a daily basis. Lifting: Able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs irregularly. Pushing / Pulling: Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools irregularly. Sitting: Able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer on a daily basis. Squatting / Kneeling: Able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving irregularly. Standing: Able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor on a daily basis. Travel: Able to travel independently and at short notice 10% of the time. Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces on a daily basis. Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site. Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
