Vice President of Learning

This is a remote position with preference for candidates based in the following cities

Sacramento CA, Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, Portland, OR, St, Louis, MO

Annual Salary: $200,000 to $220,000

This role is bonus Eligible

Summary:

The National VP of Learning leads GMR's education strategy and programs, ensuring high-quality professional development across the organization. This role oversees the Learning Management System (LMS), College of Emergency Services, NCTI, and IHM, managing program planning, development, and accreditation. Responsibilities include directing enterprise-wide online learning, continuing education, and EMS training (Paramedic, AEMT, EMT), while driving standardization and quality improvement to enhance patient care. The VP sets corporate learning goals and policies, integrates internal and external programs, and champions innovative, technology-driven approaches to education.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial data, spreadsheets, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.
  • Ability to analyze, conduct, supervise and direct clinical & academic research, as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Educational Leadership:
    • Develop and oversee organizational learning processes and programs.
    • Ensure continuous quality improvement and alignment with institutional goals.
  • Knowledge Management & Collaboration:
    • Foster cross-departmental cooperation and manage faculty and LMS staff.
    • Delegate responsibilities to regional/local directors while maintaining quality standards.
  • Training Strategy & Innovation:
    • Provide vision for long-term program development and technology integration.
    • Pursue growth opportunities and partnerships to expand educational reach.
  • Technology & Budget Oversight:
    • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and implement cutting-edge solutions.
    • Develop annual budgets and monitor financial performance.
  • Program Standardization & Change Management:
    • Oversee NCTI, IHM, and College of Emergency Services programs.
    • Standardize education for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, and corporate employees.
  • Accreditation & Compliance:
    • Maintain regulatory and accreditation standards across multiple campuses and operations.
  • Leadership & Mentorship:
    • Coach and evaluate staff, promote team development, and champion diversity initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master's degree required.
    • Paramedic or higher healthcare license required.
  • Experience:
    • 8-10 years in healthcare or education administration with proven leadership experience.
