GENERAL FUNCTION

To generate, manage and maintain Walman Optical customer business relationships as they relate to the sales of both Plano and prescription eyewear specifically designed and manufactured to ANSI Z87.1 Standards. Covers all sales functions in their defined territory, including, but not limited to, the following: new business development, forecasts, solicit, and secure orders from potential and existing customers, provide customer service as required and prepare periodic reports as required.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Generate and manage Walman Optical industrial eyewear customer accounts, including private sector, public sector and ophthalmic distribution channels.
  • Collect, understand and employ business and industry information to improve ability to service customers in the industrial eyewear market.
  • Assist Walman Optical industrial eyewear end-users in the ordering of industrial safety eyewear through conducting on-sites as needed.
  • Communicate call plans, call results, business issues to branch, safety sales support and corporate management personnel and other necessary resources as needed to successfully acquire or retain customers.
  • Assists and participates in the planning of State and Local conventions/trade shows.
  • Follow the Walman Optical 4DX and Sales process as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • 5+ years' experience in the optical industry or relevant education/ experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ANSI Z87.1 (as revised) standards as they relate to the manufacture and application of industrial safety eyewear.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, well organized.
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis, at times on weekends.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience with SalesForce a plus.
