The Gist



  • To safeguard food safety and product quality by providing, maintaining and reviewing the quality assurance framework and ensuring compliance
  • To enable production and its supporting functions to adjust, achieve and maintain a stable process by providing product data through the management of all quality control operations
  • To drive continuous improvement by leading the PQ pillar and supporting innovation projects



What You'll Do





    • Identifies the latest SHE and food safety standards and ensures the availability to all stakeholders and implementation on time in full
    • Leads PQ Pillar to drive quality objectives
    • Monitors, recognizes, interprets and advises brewery management about potential deviations on all incoming raw, auxiliary and packaging materials, process, product safety and quality
    • Owns (implementation, maintenance and development) all relevant QM-, food safety and laboratory management systems in compliance with all HEINEKEN and license partner requirements
    • Drives cost reduction initiatives related to process, technology, recipes, raw- and packaging materials
    • Manages all quality related processes in the QC and production department in compliance with the applicable quality standards
    • Ensures provision and safeguarding of standards and procedures in line with HEINEKEN (and license partner) standards and legal requirements
    • Executes technological and legislative assessment and approval of all raw, auxiliary, packaging materials and production processes
    • Updates brewery management on a regular basis (week/monthly) on results and trends related to food safety and product quality
    • Compiles annual budgets for the QA function based on product control





What We're Lookin' For



  • Bachelor's Degree of equivalent relevant experience (preferred: brewing or malting technology, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, agronomy or engineering chemistry)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in food and beverage production and technology, quality control and assurance systems
  • Knowledge of Quality and Food Safety Management Systems
  • Laboratory operations in food and beverage production environment
  • Continuous improvement methodologies like TPM / Lean / 6 Sigma, etc.
