Responsibilities

The Senior EHR Implementation Specialist will assist in the development, support and functionality roll out of an Electronic Health Record system at Prime Healthcare facilities. In partnership with project team members, the Senior Specialist will interact directly with the Clinical Operations Directors, Business office, IT team and Clinical Informatics Specialist to configure, troubleshoot, implement and support the use of the EHR application. The Senior Specialist requires little to no supervision as they build and maintain the system. The Senior Specialist performs complex design and analysis tasks. The Senior Specialist acts as a mentor to other members of the team.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

    5+ years of EHR experience or a demonstrated expertise in your application subject matter.
  1. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Business or Computer/Information Sciences OR an equivalent level of professional experience.
  2. Strong computer skills including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  3. Translate client/business requirements into system requirements, technical specifications, and logical data mappings for Implementation.
  4. Provide subject matter expertise in the development of system requirements and Concept of Operations.
  5. Participates in cross-functional teams as required to ensure integration and alignment of build, process design, and configuration of workflows.
  6. IT or Operational knowledge of clinical/revenue cycle processes and proprietary tools in one or more areas of a hospital, clinic, or business office.
  7. Ensure that appropriate proprietary tools such as RADIX, Infection Control, Contracts Management Tools are leveraged, and effective communication and support are provided throughout the pre and post Implementation cycle.
  8. Knowledge about infection control and prevention concepts in the hospital.
  9. Knowledge about the revenue cycle processes with respect to various payor contracts a hospital holds.
  10. Serve as an internal advisor to other analysts during the implementation and integration phases and share the workflow best practices.
  11. Provide inputs in Implementation meetings with prospects/clients to determine system requirements and specifications relative to System Build, integration mapping and product configuration.
  12. Effective team player.
  13. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  14. Professional etiquette and customer service oriented.
  15. Able to travel up to 50% and take call as needed.
  16. Able to provide support to facilities on holidays, nights, and weekends.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. 5+ years industry related experience in IT/Clinical/Revenue Cycle setting or within applicable area in healthcare operations.
  2. Prior EHR implementations and/or support experience is must.
