Hourly Pay Range:

$40.45 - $62.70 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Program Manager - Perinatal Research ILPQC
  • Location: Evanston/Chicago, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
  • Required Travel: Yes. Collaborative team across Endeavor Health and Northwestern University work locations. Some statewide travel required. Access to reliable transportation a must.

What you will do:

  • Contribute clinical nursing leadership for statewide quality improvement initiatives on team with physician leadership, project coordinators and others.
  • Lead monthly to quarterly nursing consultation to participating hospitals, including providing quality improvement technical assistance, such as 30/60/90 day workplans and Plan Do Study Act (PDSA) cycles/ small tests of change, responding to barriers and opportunities to improvement, and linking peers across hospitals for collaboration.
  • Manage team of project coordinators.
  • Develop webinar topics, solicit speakers, and facilitate webinars. Ensure follow up on issues raised on the webinar and response to participants. Send notes of thanks to presenters.
  • Draft clinical content for written materials including teams, advisory and other webinar content and implementation tools to support the project, for example: project toolkit materials (e.g. provider, nurse, and patient education, clinical process flows, and checklists), quality improvement implementation and clinical engagement tools, reports of progress to funders, and presentation slides.
  • Develop content for Regionalized Perinatal System Nurse Administrator, Leadership and other meetings-develop agenda and content and identify items for follow up/ development. Work with project co-leads as indicated and serve as liaison between staff and advisory group.
  • Conduct site visits at participating hospitals and perinatal networks to meet with the quality improvement team and other key players responding to challenges hospital staff may be facing, review work plan progress, review data reports, and offer support materials as needed.
  • Coordinate expert speakers and serve as liaison with speakers, schedule grand rounds, provide support materials, and help with tailoring presentations to the site/audience.
  • Coordinate twice-annual all collaborative meetings as nurse planner, facilitating contact hours, speaker communications, planning consultant activities, internal agenda and other event planning duties as requested.
  • Research national guidelines and clinical issues as necessary, linking with professional groups or searching the literature for information. Stay current on project related information and IHI tools.
  • Collaborate with other ILPQC staff on various needs including staff meetings, recommendations for actions and next steps, response to inquiries, development of e-newsletters, correspondence, ideas for marketing, etc.
  • Review project data and look for trends, issues, and make project and hospital specific recommendations based on the data. Provide nursing validation for continuing education credits.
  • Serve as a project liaison with professionals and professional groups for engagement and partnerships.
  • Presentations to groups as requested

What you will need:

  • Education: RN and Bachelor's Degree. Maintain active/clear nursing license.
  • Certification: Quality improvement / Institute for Healthcare Improvement preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, management and leadership experience. Quality improvement experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent team work, written and oral communication. Project and staff management and implementation with attention to detail. Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Adobe InDesign proficiency.
