Southern Cancer Center is seeking a skilled PET Technologist to join our Daphne office. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in patient care and imaging services.

Scope of Role

Under general supervision, you will perform PET imaging procedures and related functions, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging. You'll collaborate with the Medical Director and management on technical issues, equipment performance, and quality assurance, while supporting SCC's commitment to compliance and ethical standards.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform PET scan procedures, including radiopharmaceutical injection, protocol setup, image reconstruction, reporting, and archiving.
  • Assist with scheduling and front office functions to maintain smooth workflow.
  • Ensure accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution, and patient files.
  • Support clinical data collection for patient follow-up and educational initiatives.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an AMA-accredited program.
  • 3-5 years of experience in nuclear medicine and/or PET imaging.
  • CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) and/or ARRT (N) certification, plus applicable state licensure.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist patients up to 300 lbs.
  • Requires manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and extended periods of standing/sitting.
  • Exposure to patients, blood, toxic substances, and ionizing radiation in a clinical setting.
