As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. You will remain visible, engage with the public through exceptional customer service, and respond to incidents as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for and report suspicious or unusual behavior within the government facility.
• Enforce access control procedures and verify identification as required.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain a visible armed presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Applicants must provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
• Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton certifications are preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
