Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the facility to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all personnel. This armed post requires you to remain highly visible, respond promptly to incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the facility.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or violations of policies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency drills and coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency responders as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Support a secure environment by maintaining a visible presence and providing assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
