The Tax Analyst/Senior Tax Analyst supports U.S. tax compliance, reporting, and planning for Bracco's U.S. companies. The role assists with federal, state, and international filings; tax provisions; indirect taxes; and transfer-pricing documentation, requiring strong analytical, organizational, and collaborative skills The Tax Analyst / Senior Tax Analyst will play a key role in supporting the U.S. tax compliance, reporting, and planning functions for the Bracco Group's U.S. operating companies - Bracco Diagnostics, Acist Medical Systems, and Blue Earth Diagnostics. This position will assist with the preparation and analysis of federal, state, and international tax compliance, quarterly and annual income tax provisions, indirect tax filings, and transfer pricing documentation. The role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across finance teams, corporate headquarters, and external advisors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in preparation of U.S. federal, state, and international corporate income/franchise tax returns and supporting workpapers in coordination with external tax advisors.
  • Support quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and reconciliations, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with accounting for income taxes under IAS12, Income Taxes (equivalent to ASC740), including deferred tax calculations and supporting reconciliations.
  • Support audits and notices from federal, state, and local tax authorities by gathering data, preparing responses, and maintaining documentation.
  • Prepare and/or review indirect tax filings (sales, use, gross receipts, and other applicable U.S. taxes), property taxes, business tax filings and liaise with external compliance providers.
  • Support the North America finance shared service team, covering the three U.S. operating companies plus Canada; additional support for Brazil and Mexico as needed.
  • Assist with OECD reporting and other internal reporting required by Corporate HQ in Italy.
  • Support preparation of transfer pricing documentation and data gathering for external advisors.
  • Research and monitor developments in U.S. federal, state, and local tax legislation and assess potential impacts.
  • Assist in maintaining strong internal controls over tax processes and compliance.
  • Support ad hoc tax projects and planning initiatives as needed.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain tax calendars and filing schedules to ensure timely compliance.
  • Help implement process improvements, automation, and standardization in tax reporting and compliance.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal finance teams, business functions, and external service providers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of tax experience in public accounting or a corporate tax department (internship experience may be considered).
  • Knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with IAS12, Income Taxes (equivalent to ASC740) preferred.
  • Experience with tax compliance software (e.g., Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, Vertex) and ERP systems (SAP a plus).
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • MST or other advanced tax education a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The position is considered hybrid, with occasional in-office presence (~1-2x per week or as needed, especially during onboarding). Limited travel may be required (<5%).
