We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking a Project Engineer - CSA for our site in Calvert City, KY.

What you will do:

The CSA Project Engineer will provide civil, structural, and architectural engineering expertise and project management services for capital projects at WACKER's Calvert City site. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards while delivering safe, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions. The Position requires working in a multi-discipline team with multiple interfaces to internal customers, internal services such as procurement and regulatory affairs, as well as external suppliers and contractors. It is the responsibility of each employee to know, understand, and diligently practice our EH&S and Security policies and practices.




  • Project Management: Develop project scope, schedule, and budget; manage contractors; monitor progress; prepare reports.
  • CSA Engineering: Design and review civil/structural/architectural systems; ensure compliance with codes; coordinate with other disciplines. Manage and coordinate construction activities
  • Compliance & Safety: Secure permits; enforce IMS and safety standards; represent WACKER with authorities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply value engineering; drive cost and quality improvements; compile as-built documentation.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned to support the engineering.



Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree Civil/Structural Engineering; Construction Management with with 15+ years' experience may be considered. Master's degree or PE License, preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant industrial experience 15+ years of experience in field may be considered.



Core Skills and Expertise Required:



  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, relevant codes, and construction practices to effectively manage projects and to apply efficient and innovative solutions to technical and organizational challenges
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction procedures, construction technologies, safe work practices, construction/installation quality and dependencies of various trades and disciplines working on a project to efficiently coordinate contractors to achieve project goals and maintain a safe job site.
  • Able to perform and succeed in an environment of schedule and cost driven
  • Capable of professionally dealing with changing priorities and scope development & expansion.
  • Strong Civil Structural & Architectural engineering knowledge
  • Strong construction / installation related skills
  • Strong construction management & construction-site organization skills
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of construction and project management best practices
  • Strong coordination & leadership skills
