The Position
Behind every product sold by Roche is Pharma Global Technical Operations. Starting with Phase I of the development process and continuing through to product maturity, PT makes lifesaving medicines at 11 locations, with the support of partners from around the world. Information (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) teams are key in producing and delivering medicine to patients. The organization is currently undergoing a transformation towards digitalization, advancing fundamental elements to meet future needs, such as leveraging new technologies. The IT OT Team in Hillsboro is supporting Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) which is the commercial Make Assess and Release (MAR) and launch site for North America and Hillsboro Individualized and Cell Therapies (HIT) which is transitioning into a multi-product facility for development, clinical and commercial supply capabilities for individualized and cell therapies. The Opportunity The Business Operation Manager position offers a unique opportunity to shape information and technology solutions in alignment with the Pharma vision. You will report to the IT OT Site Head Hillsboro and will be expected to act as a full deputy and key delegate for this position, including assuming authority during periods of absence. Primary Responsibilities:
Develop concepts and strategies for required changes based on the changing environment (e.g.: Productivity improvement, quality improvement, network initiatives, strategic site alignment) that are critical to the success of Hillsboro Technical Operations. Perform local and network-wide analyses/surveys/exchanges to best integrate, globally network and continuously improve the concepts developed for IT OT. You will liaise with various functions as well with other Roche production sites on a regular basis. Foster valuable partnerships within the PT network to enable faster identification, adoption and implementation of network wide changes and best practices. Lead projects/programs/initiatives as a project manager using new ways of working methods/LEAN and assumes the role of matrix leader. Project management is performed for projects/programs/initiatives within IT OT. You will be is responsible for the successful execution and timely implementation of the projects. Responsible for the preparation and execution of the strategy workshops with the IT OT LT Hillsboro and for the national Team for IT OT Genentech Sites, as well as for the development of highly effective working and collaboration methods between the IT OT members and with other functions within Roche/Genentech. By using change management and communication, you actively promote sustainable collaboration, flexible and open mindset, diversity & inclusion. Supports IT OT site representative projects in both local and global issues. Lead cross-functional teams in an agile environment, taking on the role of advisor, educator, and challenging the status quo with a customer-focused E2E mentality.
Who You Are
You have a bachelor's degree in science, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or have a technical degree with professional experience. Ideally, you are familiar with heterogeneous system landscapes or with automation/laboratory information systems. 6-8 years of related experience You have experience managing change and developing a long-term vision for an organization in alignment with corporate strategy and priorities. Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, holistic thinking and problem solving, application of lean and agile methodologies. Excellent communication skills on both a global and local level to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are well connected. Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and integrity with a high level of self-awareness, empathy and ability to listen. You live a "speak up" culture and foster a culture of trust. You have lT and OT knowledge in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, with experience in manufacturing and technical operations and an understanding of market challenges and competitive advantages. You have an ability to quickly learn new topics, with a mindset of continuous improvement, learning, and cross-functional thinking. Creates an environment of strong team spirit, timely and effective communication, urgency, high motivation, and inspires teams to achieve goals immediately and over the long term.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Oregon is $114,400 - $212,400. Annual Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
