Job Summary
One postdoc position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Laisuo Su, in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas. Our group's research focuses on developing revolutionary materials for renewable energy devices, especially in the area of rechargeable batteries such as lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and zinc-ion batteries. Among various components within a battery, the group has a particular interest in the electrolyte, including both liquid electrolyte and solid electrolyte, and electrolyte-electrode interface, where various critical reactions happen.
Minimum Education and Experience
Ph.D in a related field.
Preferred Education and Experience

  • Candidate must hold a PhD degree.
  • Battery assembling and electrochemical testing experience.
  • Good track of record in publishing peer-reviewed journal articles.

Other Qualifications
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct, and direct a wide variety of experiments.
  • Guide PhD students in the group.
  • Evaluate experiment results and interpret data.
  • Present in group meetings and project meetings.
  • Write manuscripts.
